So Fake news is creating problems in Syria.
Here’s an example:
In both Derbesiye & Qamishlo today, false rumors have spread via Facebook and word of mouth that a fresh Turkish assault is already underway, causing people to flee.

Who was it who proposed that everyone would be better off without FaceBook?
I wonder how much you can fuck up a battlefield just by spreading FaceBook and Twitter rumors. (There are definitely bots at work on the situation.)
